Pastitsio at the Hellenic Benevolent Association

May 7 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Hellenic Benevolent Dinner for May 7, 2026

One very big room: one big beautiful family

Pastitsio is Thursday’s special dinner!

It looks fabulous, tastes even better! A really big portion!

Pastitsio aka Greek style lasagna… Its flavor comes from two aromatic, distinctive and rich spices: clove and cinnamon.

A smooth, thick, and creamy Greek style bechamel sauce covers layers of ground beef, meat that rests on layers of grated cheese. You can just sense that the cooked imported Greek pasta is jumping with joy! This large portion of pastitsio is served dusted with grated Romano cheese, a chef’s vegetable choice and a Greek salad.

All for just $20.00.

President Petros Alevras (standing) welcomes everyone, as does Yianna Houliaris and Dino Papadopoulos, and invite you to attend and experience Hellenic fellowship. This wonderful meal, prepared by Panagiotis and Vera, is just the beginning. The atmosphere and Greek music bring you to think that you are dining in a quaint restaurant on one of the hundred Greek Aegean islands.

Greek Style Baked Fish

You will not look back if you choose Panagiotis and Vera’s Greek baked fish. This dish will spark joy when this mild fish, baked in Greek herbs and spices, magically takes you to the sidewalk cafes of the Aegean islands.

You will be delighted when your dinner is accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes, baked until perfectly tender, pickled beets and onions served with a Greek salad. Of course, there is Greek bread to soak up the juices.

All for just $17.00.
An extra piece of fish is $9.00.

Fried Fish Dinner

Fish that is consistently flavored with Greek spices and gently deep fried. This fried fish is joined with its best flavored friend, lemon. These yellow jewels provide a refreshing citrus flavor, which is good for digestion and a must-always garnish for this fried fish dinner.

Of course, colorful pickled beets bathed in olive oil, joined with small cuts of onions, are traditionally served.

And let us not forget the last part of your fried fish dinner. The aroma of garlic is unmistakable. You begin to sense the taste of Greek garlic mashed potatoes. So many flavors just waiting to dance on your taste buds.

All for $17.00.
An extra fish is $9.00.
